Land Stewardship Workshop Offered for Landowners
The Water Quality Protection District, Lewis & Clark Conservation District and Lewis & Clark County Weed District are sponsoring a Land Stewardship Workshop for both small and large landowners. The workshop will include three Tuesday evening sessions, September 7, 14, and 21, from 6-9 pm at the Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds 4-H building. The cost is $10 per person or $15 per couple and covers materials and refreshments. The first session will include a soils assessment of the owner's specific property; the second will cover water quality, including wells, septic systems, water rights and grazing issues; and the third will cover forest management, fire mitigation and invasive species. Registration is required by calling 449-5000 ext 112 prior to 5 pm Friday, September 3.
