The Lewis & Clark County Extension Service
This office serves as an outreach function of Montana State University dedicated to improving the quality of people's lives by providing research-based knowledge to strengthen the social, economic and environmental well-being of families, communities and agricultural enterprises.

The programs of the MSU Extension are available to all people regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, and marital or family status. Issued in furtherance of cooperative extension work in agriculture and home economics, acts of May 8 and June 30, 1914, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Dr. Douglas Steele, Vice Provost and Director, Extension, Montana State University, Bozeman, MT 59717.

Youth through Education Gain Life Skills
Lewis & Clark County has 24 4-H clubs with more than 350 youth and 100 adult volunteers actively participating in 4-H projects and activities.  Through "learn by doing" opportunities, youth gain in-depth knowledge that allows them to grow in areas of animal awareness, public speaking, consumer science, social and community development, life skills and leadership.

Master Gardener Class, Level I
The Montana State University Master Gardener Class is being offered this spring.  The class starts Thursday, March 25th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at The University of Montana-Helena campus auditorium.  The class is eight weeks long every Thursday night.  For more information on the class go to the MSU web site, http://gardenguide.montana.edu/mgardener/mgardenerindex.asp.  Pre-registration is required.  Complete the registration form and mail it to the address below:
