      Cooney Home accepts Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance.
      1. Medicare: This is a federally funded program. At times, Medicare will pay for a short-term stay following a three-day hospital stay.
      1. Medicaid: This is a State funded program. This program is designed to help pay for an individual’s nursing care that has little or no money.
      1. Private Pay: This is when the individual pays for all cost of their care.

      There are a limited number of private rooms and individuals are encouraged to place their name on a waiting list. A semi private room at the Cooney Home accommodates 2 people.

      Yes, Cooney has nurses on staff 24-hours a day.
    1. Will I be able to keep my own doctor?
      Yes, you can keep your own doctor. If your doctor is unavailable to take care of you at Cooney, our Medical Director is available.
    1. What kind of Activities does Cooney have?
      Cooney Home has a variety of activities, bingo, live musical entertainment, social gatherings, exercise programs, etc. (Beautician services are available for an additional charge).
    1. Does Cooney provide therapy services?
      Yes, Cooney provides Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy & Occupational Therapy as order by the resident’s doctor. Cooney also offers a Restorative Program.

      Cooney provides a variety of meals and diets as ordered by your doctor. Cooney provides three balanced meals a day, plus snacks.

      Cooney works closely with local Hospice agencies and provides a loving “end of life’ care program. In addition, Cooney provides a variety of religious services and programs.
