Craig Resort Tax Election held on August 10, 2010

 Based on the election results, the Craig Resort Tax issue has passed.

The Lewis and Clark County elections department administers federal, state, county, city and special district elections in Lewis and Clark County according to federal and state election laws. The Department also assists in elections for school districts. This department maintains the voter registration files for approximately 36,500 voters in 54 precincts. A calendar of elections is listed below.

To be eligible to vote in an election you must be registered 30 days prior to the election. Voter registration cards can be obtained from the elections office, drivers license bureau and the local area telephone books. 

Montana now allows for late registration.  If it is under 30 days before an election and you wish to register and vote, this can now be done in the local election office up to and including election day.  Please contact the local elections office at 447-8336 with any late registration questions you may have.

On election day in Lewis and Clark County approximately 350 election judge workers are on hand to assist our citizens with voting. They staff our 54 precincts. To be eligible to work on an election you must be a registered voter in Lewis and Clark County and attend training.
